Oh yay! We are going with Treasured Haven Farms, too. We went with them last year and absolutely loved them. It was a hard year with weather, and they had set backs, but they did a great job staying in communication with us and did a really good job making sure we still had a good harvest. I can't say enough good things about them, we've done CSAs with 2 other farms, and they're the best.

We don't always finish all of our vegetables, but a friend once mentioned that we can compost, and in those cases where we can't finish it, we can return the nutrients to the earth. I've felt a bit better after that. Plus, I want to do better with preserving and freezing, and this gives me good motivation to learn.

Just reading this is getting me so excited for the CSA season! Can't wait to read more about your experience.

Katie - I'm so glad you created this post. I was checking out the local Farmer's Market locations and wasn't overly impressed. Now I'm going to start investigating this option.

One site that I checked out mentioned using the vegetables that you can't use up and making a vegetable stock which could be frozen. Thought it was a good idea and that I should pass it along. Sheila
